Setting up Pivo: A Quick 2024 Guide

In the rapidly evolving world of content creation, having the right tools can make all the difference. Pivo brings a new dimension to your creative endeavors with its innovative features. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the seamless process of setting up Pivo and explore some of its features.

1. Downloading Pivo+

Before you begin, ensure that your smartphone meets the minimum configuration requirements. For iOS users, iPhone 8 or above with iOS 13.0 or higher is required, while Android users need premium phones from 2017 onwards with Android version 9.0 and higher. Check the compatibility list here.

2. Signing up / Signing in

Just like any other Pivo apps, in order to use Pivo+, you’ll need an account. When you first open the app, you’ll be greeted by the sign up/sign in page. Click on Sign up if you’ve not created an account before, or click on Sign in to log into your existing account. 

Note: You’ll need to verify your signup via your cell phone number – so be sure to enter it correctly.

3. Turning your pod on (and off)

Turning on your Pod is a breeze. Simply press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until you hear a beep, and the LED light indicator will blink blue, indicating readiness for pairing. Turning it off follows the same process, with the LED blinking red.

Note: Your Pod will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

4. Connecting your phone to Pivo Pod

To unleash the full potential of Pivo, you’ll need to pair it with your Pivo+ app. After signing in to your account on the app, navigate to the Pivo+ Gallery and click on the Capture button. Ensure your Pod is turned on, and the app will automatically scan and connect. If multiple devices are detected, choose your preferred Pod from the list.

If your device is not found within 15 seconds, click the Retry button for another attempt. After two subsequent failures, access the troubleshooting screen for further assistance.

5. Introduction to the Pivo+ App

Pivo+ introduces four distinctive modes tailored to diverse creative needs:

• Video mode: Enhanced with Auto Tracking, this mode follows your movements for dynamic video recording.
• Photo mode: Capture the perfect shot effortlessly with Auto Tracking.
• Meet mode: Combine 1-on-1 video calls with Pivo’s tracking capabilities.
• Webcam mode: Transform your smartphone into a movable webcam for engaging virtual sessions.
