After winning his first overseas Taekwondo title in Germany at the age of 12, he was selected to represent Europe at the Children’s Taekwondo Union Europe/Asia Challenge. What drew you to Martial Arts and Taekwondo specifically?
My dad was a martial artist so when it came to choosing a sport it was always natural to go down that route, my friend did Taekwondo at the time so it made it easier. That’s how I eventually got into Martial arts and Taekwondo.
How does it feel to have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics?
It’s an amazing feel to have qualified for the games, I’m very happy I could achieve what I have been aiming towards but also make my family so proud.
What does a day of training in the life of Caden Cunningham look like?
Each day is slightly different, but ultimately, I kick every single morning with a mix of strength and conditioning in the afternoons!
How has Pivo been helping you with your Olympics training? Is there a difference between training with and without your Pivo?
Training with Pivo has made it so much easier to film content, with mine being a sport where you are always on the move, it makes it so I don’t have to do all the extra editing of zooming in, etc for a post. It has been very helpful.
Is there a message you’d like to give to competitors ahead of the games? And if you had to give one advice to Olympic aspirants, what would that be?
To my competitors at the games, I hope you pay me the due respect of coming to kill and giving me your best shot, thank you and to those aspiring for the Olympics, I’d say, just keep working hard and fully committing to your training.
After having signed with Adidas and making some major moves in the fashion world, where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?
I’m not 100% sure where I’ll be In 10 years, all I know is that it will be 10X further than where I am now, each year I aim to make better than the last, so I’m excited for what’s to come.
Let us in on your secret of achieving so much all at just the age of 21?
The secret to achieving so much at my age is never being fully satisfied once I’ve reached my goal, but when I do, I set a new one and continue growing.
Who or what has been your biggest inspiration so far?
My biggest inspiration for working so hard to thrive is my future family and children, I want to build myself as a person who my children will be forever proud of.
We see Caden cunningham, a rising social media star, how has connecting with your community through social media helped shape your career?
Being able to interact with fans and acknowledge them all where I can, is amazing. As I really appreciate all the support and I’m glad I can inspire young ones to get further than where I am.
